This is a good news bad news phone... This IS an original Western Electric 20AL telephone in very good condition...that's the good news part. The bad news is someone "updated " it with a new transmitter and reproduction receiver after they brassed it out. Still a very nice phone that could be easily converted back to original condition with a minimal amount of effort and parts. I bought this intending to do just that, but since it's been around here about 10 years or so, I guess I'm not going to get to it any time soon. Now it can be YOUR project!! Looks like an original WE star mouthpiece, and the base felt is in pretty good shape as well. No dings or dents, phone is sold as-is and should be considered non working. It was "hot wired" and worked that way, but it really needs a subset to work properly. Shipping is fixed at $12.00 anywhere in the US, no reserve, no returns, bidding starts at only one dollar.
